Pyometra in dogs. Pyometra is a very serious infection of the womb, also known as the 'uterus'. It's caused by the womb filling with pus and, if left untreated, it can lead to kidney failure, toxaemia, dehydration and, in some cases, death.

Two great links, they pretty much say the same thing but i like to use more than one source of info :) I think if you catch it early enough you could treat it yourself with homeopathy, but consulting a naturpath vet would be a smart option too, it can be pretty serious
